October Fishing?

Postby Fishcook » Mon Jul 14, 2014 5:06 am

Will be in Grand Cayman in October 2014. I know the Rooster Shootout starts October 24 but are Tuna, Wahoo, and Dolphin plentiful at that time of year?

Never fished in October.

Thanks in advance for your response

Coming in to Grand Cayman saw huge "islands" of weed off South West point.

Chartered with Jon Arch on Slackem. Trolled Rum Point to the Bank.

Boated a nice Mahi. Had a big Barra to the boat but he spit the hook.

Fished and dove with my buddy Tom. Did a little daytime sword fishing. Stabbed a pile of lion fish on our dives (44 one morning). Trolled up a 5 Blackfin Tuna on a rig I made. Jigged on the bank for a while caught a couple of Skip Jack Tunas.

I guess October fishing in Grand Cayman is not too shabby!

All the Best
